"Artificial Intelligence" subject to the school curriculum from the 8th grade next year

You may remember that we previously reported on the Next Gen project, which provides information technology knowledge to government employees.

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has been made a core (compulsory) subject in the General Certificate Examination of Ordinary Level from next year, which will solve the problem as it will be very difficult to even find a job beyond a labour job without basic knowledge of IT in five years.

The subject of Artificial Intelligence (AI), which was previously planned to be introduced in Grade 10, will be introduced to students from Grade 8 on the suggestions of an expert committee including university professors.

And without such transformative changes, it is not possible to produce a suitable human being for the 21st century only by conducting extra classes.

The outdated examination-centered education system is still being maintained with minor amendments and the main objective of this is to change this system and adapt to the new world.
